The BAJA Coalition was created to give 5-1600 racers the opportunity to race larger fields, receive larger paybacks and enjoy more varied terrains and race formats.

This year the directorship of the coalition has been handed over to Win Deen. Win brings a lifetime of invaluable knowledge of the sport of off-road racing to the job, as well as an outstanding all volunteer Coalition staff. Forging an enduring family of 5-1600 off-road racers for the future is Win’s Coalition dream. “The 5-1600 vehicle enjoys a tremendous finishing ratio and the field of 5-1600 teams is filled with high caliber individuals,” says Deen. “The Coalition is looking forward to unprecedented success in 2006. We’ll be seeing you in the winners circle!”
